The secret to beautiful skin is not in your face cream, it’s in photoshop!

It’s in the magic of the airbrush. Here’s a quickie photoshop guide to achieving the perfect look that will make you proud to post you pic!!

I’m starting off with a picture of my duaghter who is looks perfect without any skin enhancements  |

| Duplicate your original layer by dragging layer1 down to the layer copy button marked in yellow. |

| Apply the Dust & Scratches filter by clicking on Filters - Noise - Dust & Scratches. Now add some Gaussian Blur - Filters, Blur, Guassian Blur. Adjust the radius until the skin seems smooth. A radius of 1 or 2 is usually sufficient and all the lines from the Dust and Scratches filter are smoothed out. |

| You now have a picture that should look like this, all blurry!! Not quite what we’re after!! |

| Next, apply a layer mask and fill it with black. You do this by clicking on the layer mask icon at the bottom of the layers palette. Then select black and use the paint bucket to fill your photo area. Don’t worry if this brings you back to your original picture. This is what you want!! |

| Next select a soft brush. About 10 px is good but this will vary depending on the size of your oringal photo. Zoom into your photo and use the white brush to mask out areas of the face. This will reveal the smooth skin below! Make sure not to go over the eyes, lips, eyebrows, nostrils or hairline. Dab the brush gently around the eyes and hariline and try to leave some natural elements like freckles, laugh or smile lines and loose hair. |

| Flatten your image as this will apply your layer mask. Play around with the saturation a little too. A little desaturation can work well.. When you’ve finished, you should have silky smooth skin as in the photo above. Now show it off!! |
