. Now. Of course there is a mixture of prices and general affordability here. I personally think (since I am not super weathly) one staple piece (ie. an ADORABLE black dress that will be worn 10000x) is worthy of a big chunk of change. But some of the stranger and not so. permanent. trend pieces shouldn’t be rediculously expensive, because there is a good chance about 8 months after you buy this piece of clothing it will be hanging in your closet and you will be thinking “Uhh. eww. what was I on when I bought that?!”
When I go shopping I always try to buy things I know will match with what I already have, and if it will get a good use out of it. Ie. A little black dress is 300$, and I wear it 30 times (let’s pretend). Yeah, it’s pricey, but I feel absolutely gorgeous in it. That would mean I would pay 10$ to feel gorgeous everytime I wear it. But then after you buy your perfect black dress you find this extremely amazing strange fashion trend. The item is 100$. Will you really wear it at least 10 times to get the proper use out of it, or will you wear it twice and then it will be out of style?
I personally think it’s easiest to buy plain pieces to mix and match (ie. plain white t shirt with some nice boot cut jeans) and then a few patterned pieces to “jazz things up”
Some must have pieces
Sweater dresses
A HUGE belt
Pencil skirt
A Line Skirt
Wrap Dress
White Collared Shirt
Little Black Dress
Long sleeve blouse
Cardigan (either shrunken/normal size)
Opaque tights (for jean skirts, etc etc etc. Tights have many possibilities)
Knee Length Jacket (ie. trench coat, swing coat, etc)
A scarf (even if it isnt cold where you are, hello fashionista!)
T Shirts
Knee High Boots (your best bet is black)
Running shoes/Tennis Shoes
at least TWO good pairs of Heels
This list isn’t for everyone. I am just saying how I personally dress. There is of course other fashionable things to wear/not wear, and still look fabulous. This may be a “list” but wear what you feel comfortable in. If you feel beautiful in totally mismashed outfits with 5 different prints and a huge string of pearls and two different shoes, then you wear it, because that is the most important!
FABULOUS.
