Sure. Boyfriends are fun to have…sometimes that is. But sometimes it’s just as nice to be single. Why you ask? Here are a couple of examples.

- More time for yourself.
- More time for your family & friends.
- No one to have to call.
- More free time.

Who doesn’t love working on themsevles? Reading, writing, even just spending a bit of time alone can greatly affect you, in a good way! Getting re-aquainted with yourself is the first step to true happiness. It’s much easier to be happy in a relationship if you truly love yourself. The first step is to realise you do NOT (and I repeat do not) need a boyfriend to be happy. Until you realise this, you will not be totally happy in a relationship. Ironic right? Yes it is. True? Very.

Once you have realised this, the boy will come to you eventually. No one likes someone that is needy. It’s kind of unattractive. Would you rather have a boy attached to your leg begging you to call everyday or have a boy that is a bit of a catch? I’d rather have a little bit of a challange then have someone that tries too hard!

My mom has always said “make sure YOU come first, then your family, then your school/career, your friends and finally boys. Friends are forever, boys are only temporary.” I try to follow this to the best of my abilities. It’s YOUR life, live it the way you want to!

As it stands for me, I don’t have time for a boyfriend. I have a career/job that is taking up most of my time, and when I’m not doing that, I want time for myself.

If you just are recently single…have a “me day”, go out with friends and do some things that you know boys HATE!!! You’ll appreciate it ! Good luck!
