My Top 6 books of 2007
By barbie689 • Dec 4th, 2007 • Category: Nimzi PicksThese are books I quite enjoyed and thought you would too! Some are long, some are sad, some are funny, but they are all good! They are in no particular order. Why 6 you ask? Because I said so!
6. Gossip Girl - It had to be you (a prequel). Written by : Cecily Von Ziegesar - A prequel to the now hit tv show on the CW, the books are 100x better however. Following the lives of Serena Vanderwoodsen, Blair Waldorf and Nate Archibald.
5. It Girl - Unforgettable. Written by : Cecily Von Ziegesar - Written by the same author as gossip girl . It is a branch off of Gossip girl as Jenny, Dan’s younger sister, is shipped of to boarding school after some questionable things happen between her and Dan’s former bandmate. Just as juicy and drama-filled.
4. That Extra half an inch, Written by: Victoria Beckham. - This book came out earlier than this year in England, but I am in North America and it just came out here. what a FABULOUS book for those of us who LOVE fashion. Victoria Beckham, formerly of the Spice girls, is a notable fashion icon of our time, and has complied all of her fashion know-hows (and DO NOT’S) into an amazing book that is sure to give anyone a clue into fashion. !
3. Love is a many trousered thing (confessions of Georgia Nicolson). Written by Louise Rennison. - Ok. If anyone likes to laugh, they need to read this book. The author captures teen drama (the funny side) absolutely perfectly. Georgia is a british girl who has funny sayings and basically is a huge drama queen. She is caught inbetween her love for Masimo and “The Original Sex God” Robbie. Enough said !
2. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. Written by J K Rowling. - I am not going to say too much about this book because everyone & their cousins have read it, but it was fabulous none the less.
1. The Bunny Book. Written by Pennelope Jimenez, Serria Tawan, Deanna Brooks. - This book is hilarious. It claims to teach you how to walk, talk, tease, and please like a playboy bunny, and it does this but as well teaches you to love yourself and be happy with who you are. A great “girl power” book!

Oscar Wildes the importance of being Ernest, I read this book for the first time at the begging of the year and I loved it!
After that I started reading more and more. So I think of it as my kick start!
Unknown Pleasures; This book is all about the 80’s band Joy Division and the making of their album “Unknown Pleasures” The album is my favoutire album EVER and Ian Curtis was an amazing front man and a great song writer. He wrote two of my favourite songs ever “Disorder” and “love will tear us apart” So yeah that’s why I love it!
The third police man, When I was reading this book I kept getting half way through and then forgetting about it or loosing it or whatever else but eventually I took the time to finish it and it was really, really brilliant, I have to say the plot was slightly confusing at times. But over all it was very good.
I hate Myself and I want to Die, This is a book of all the most depressing lyrics around, It’s really interesting and despite the name a fun read, It also inspired the documentary I’m making for college on people’s favourtie songs and lyrics
Poe, Illustrated Tales Of Mystery and Imagination, This is a book of Classic Poe Stories Illustrated by Japanese artists. The art work is really amazing.
The Liar By Stephen Fry, This book I read coming back from Kilarney in kerry apparently it’s based on himself but it’s based in a very posh school, Lots of stuff happens, bit of rebellion bit of rock ‘n’ roll bit of rugby
very, very long and complicated, that’s why I liked it! haha also the refrences to Pink Floyd
